“Makers Hub” group in Bhatkal is producing face masks to protect police force, health workers and volunteers who are at the front line combating Covid-19

“Till date, we have made 800+ masks. Not just for the requirements of Bhatkal, but also catering to Mangalore and other parts. In Bhatkal, lockdown is very strict and we can’t bring materials from outside. We are using things which are easily available in the market. That too, with the permission of S.Bharat, Assistant Commissioner of Bhatkal.
Initially, we invested from our side to produce masks. As the requirements for PPE has increased, we need to make in large numbers. Now, we’re trying to source raw materials from Bangalore, as Bhatkal Shops are running out of stock”
