Madaan Shuaib
We started from Sharma at 10 pm. The first destination was Mada’n Shuhaib Near Al-Bada town. The Holly Texts, Quran and Bible describes Prophet Shuhaib as the maternal father of Prophet Moses. the narrow caves Under the lower mountains, where Shuyaib’s tribe lived are still preserved. the gate was closed When we get there. we came to know from other passengers that the gate will be opened from 4-6 in the evening.
The Well used by the Shuyaib’s community can be seen almost one and a half KM far from the mountain. Even though the fountain is surrounded by a fence, a small crack is there through which we can go near the well. The partially damaged well has no water now. According to history, Prophet Moosa has seen doters of prophet Shuhaib who were waiting near the well for their turn to come to get water. Prophet Moosa helped them to get water. Prophet Shuhaib was very happy hearing the news and invited Prophet Moosa and told Prophet Moosa to marry one of his daughters.
Wadi-Taib al-Ismail
Our next target was Wadi Taib-Ismail.it is almost 15 KM far from Al-Bada town. You can see beautiful orchards on the side of the road. mangos oranges, dates and some other fruits are groing there. we stopped our car in front of the garden marked with the dry shark to by a box of orange
after driving a little far, The beautiful Red Sea was seen with deep blue in color. The Malayali guy who runs a shop in in the nearby village told us that the mountains visible far away in the other side of red sea were part of Egypt. we sat for a while In the nearby lawn, .we continued our journey After some time, sites on the roadsides were amazing. On one side, beautiful and rugged mountains, on the other hand, the sea that looks like a deserted lake. we took some photographs and continued the trip.
The road ends in front of board named Wadi-Taib. a small way which has a width of almost ten meters is created between six hundred meters high rock mountain in the middle of a small gap in the gap between the two cars in the middle . where we know about Tom Cruise, about 15 km of this beautiful and deadly path ends in Al-bada town
When Musa (the Prophet) was the young man, He accidentally indulged in the death of one Dimi-tribe man. fearing Pharaoh’s punishment, Young Moosa escaped from Egypt by passing through the Aqaba Sea to the valley, and it was said that he reached Maadin-Shu’ayb through Wadi Taib. In history, there is doubt about the Wadi-Taibi document. We tasted water from the little flowing water through the Wadi. A taste was a little salty.
12 Fountains Of the Muses
Israelites had been cursed by God that they will have to wander for 40 years in the desert because they refused to fight with the Prophet Moosa against Pharaoh. God gave them twelve pure water fountains upon request by Prophet Moosa. this fountains can be seen here, It mentioned in The Qur’an and the Bible the fact that God gave them manna, Salva such foods.
the place can be identified by ball fixed on the column like structure seen on the right side while returning from Wadi Tayyib. After photographing the fountains, take some water and tasted. Good pure water. There was no taste of salt at all.
Durah Border
We came back to Madain-Shuhaib, but it was closed since it was Six thirty at the time. we felt a little disappointed since we couldn’t see the caves clearly. We got excited when we heard that Jordan Border is only 100 km far from there. The journey is through the wally between rock mountains. We were surprised that there were no Lights on the main Highway connecting two countries.
Since it was The day before National Day, border village was decorated with LED lamps. We took some photographs in front of a large board written as Dura Saudi Jordanian Border. The Border Security Person let us to go little further to see Jordan checkpoint.
We sat in the beautiful beach nearby. electric lights of the villages of Egypt and Jordan were clearly visible from there
Everyone was hungry. a little girl gave us a tasty bowl with a sweet dessert called Basbusa. we Thanked them, the mosque in the village was locked Since it is a border village with no much people, a villager saw us rounding the mosque, he invited us to his house his to perform prayer.
When we went back down the highway, saw the board of Russ Hameed, from where The Saudi government is intended to build a sea bridge connecting Saudi Arabia to Sharam Shaikh of Egypt.
After visiting historical places like Madain-Shuhaib, Wadi-Tayyib, Dura-Border, We reached back in Sharm t at 12 o’clock with happy and joyful memories

After reading this I am just wondering to find a possibility to go to Ethiopia to have a look on at least the place where “Ark of covenant( Ark of testimony)” are kept. This Ark contain the rocks of 10 commandments which was given by God to Prophet Moses… As per legend Ark of covenant brought from Yarusalam to Ethiopia by Son of Soleman & Sheeba…
