Dekha Ye Khwaab….Chase your dreams

Dekha ye khwaab.
Everyone has a dream to chase.

I completed my matriculation in 1983 from IAUHS Bhatkal. It was an era of Gulf boom and most of our batchmates were having their baggage ready with a dream to reach the shores of Arabia at their first opportunity. Only very few joined college and after PUC the numbers filtered and most of them reached Deserts of Arabia . The total numbers to complete graduation was very less and in true sense I can count them on my fingers. But, I had a dream which took me to Mysore for Post Graduation in Engineering.

Today, when I look back, I miss or may not even recognise most of my classmates. Fortunately, I met one of my batchmates in Masjid, today.

He was popular as a singer and well known for his favourite song in all school functions….MAI SOYI JO EK SHAB TO DEKHA YE KHWAAB…
written by Allama Iqbal.

We recollected those days.

Happiness always reflected in Siraj’s face. At present, he is leading a happy life, running a cold drinks shop in the vicinity of same Masjid. From the comments received for my Facebook post, I got to understand that my friend Mr. Siraj Gondi is a well known Umpire for cricket matches held in Bhatkal Town
